Treasurers report-accounts had been agreed by the PCC members by email prior to today’s meeting. Sue Allso explained she kept the books and that the accounts were a snapshot of the finances on 31st December 21. £3,000 had been received from the Lapworth Charity and this went towards the common fund but there was still a shortfall of £3,500.
Gift aid keeps the church going
Electricity amount was low as a refund had ben received as too much VAT had been paid. However, the contract was about to be renewed, so we are anticipating an increase.
Accounts have still to be verified by an independent auditor.
PCC report –Di Wheeler had prepared a report. She had recorded thanks to Sue and Marg Howie for all their hard work. PCC had all undergone safeguarding training and been DBS checked
Sue explained that community services no longer maintained the graveyard so contractors had to be used costing about £150 a time. Ros said she would like to contribute towards this.
Di highlighted the need for more volunteers and people to join the PCC
Deanery synod –The deanery is larger now so attending meetings can be difficult. Area Dean is meeting the PCC in June.
